Barry Frey, who as President and CEO of DPAA will be hosting the 10th annual Video Everywhere Summit on November 1 in New York City, recently interviewed some of the event’s featured speakers on a variety of topics.  The following is his chat with Patrizio (Pato) Spagnoletto, Head of Media and Subscriber Growth, Hulu.

Barry Frey:  What media do you consume on a daily basis?

Patrizio Spagnoletto:  Television and satellite radio.

Frey:  What are the biggest changes you foresee in the world of brand marketing over the next few years?

Spagnoletto:  The evolution of addressable audience media buying across all channels.  Programmatic will no longer be associated with only performance, but with brand buys as well.

Frey:  What’s on the horizon for Hulu?

Spagnoletto:  Continuing to focus on great content and experiences for our users for both our SVOD and live offerings.

Frey:  Are you utilizing digital out of home and, if so, how?

Spagnoletto:  Yes — primarily to help raise awareness of Hulu originals.
