LAS VEGAS—SNA Displays and Moment Factory took home the top “DIZZIE” award for Best Digital Signage Experience for work at the acclaimed AT&T Discovery District in Dallas. The project also won in its category, Public Spaces.

SNA Displays also received a DIZZIE award for The Orbit Retail Experience in the category of Experiential Design & Planning.

The announcement was made last Friday at the newly revamped Digital Signage Experience (DSE) show’s awards reception and ceremony.

The DIZZIEs recognize companies from across the globe whose digital signage installations and campaigns challenge the status quo and drive innovation.

“Our industry is continuously evolving and we were in awe with the latest and greatest digital and interactive displays that were submitted to our awards program,” said David Drain, DSE’s director of event programs. “We are thrilled to honor the incredible work of these companies. We congratulate the winners on their achievements and thank our esteemed panel of judges.”

AT&T Discovery District

AT&T Discovery District is a one-of-a-kind landscape whose design focused on creating multiple outdoor spaces to support a variety of activities and events. Layered throughout is a matrix of seamlessly integrated digital platforms that enable immersive take-over moments of lighting, audio, and creative media content.

AT&T’s vision for The District focused on creating a place of connection and innovation for both employees and the public. SNA Displays, design firm Gensler, content creator Moment Factory, and many other collaborators worked together to transform what was once a traditional corporate campus into a world-class entertainment, dining, and retail destination, now a major part of the downtown Dallas scene.

“We’re excited and honored that the digital signage network at The District has been recognized yet again by industry experts,” said Mitch Leathers, senior director of communications for SNA Displays. “We were extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with AT&T, Gensler, and all of the great partners that contributed to this already-iconic destination. And congratulations to the Moment Factory team as well for being acknowledged for much of the awe-inspiring creative featured day in and day out.”

Other awards for The District include the D Magazine Commercial Real Estate Award for Best Mixed-Use Project, the Greater Dallas Planning Council’s Urban Design Award, the DailyDOOH Gala Award for Best Corporate/Hospitality Install, and recognition from Digital Signage Awards and the International Design Awards.

The Orbit Retail Experience

HBO Max and experience design agency HUSH created The Orbit Retail Experience as a highly immersive, interactive experience that invites guests to step into a small, circular room with 180 degrees of LED screen. Visitors can gesture or speak a few words to activate a massive visual library of HBO Max content.

SNA Displays manufactured and installed the LED display technology integral to The Orbit experience, and AV integrator Electrosonic provided visual hardware technology integration services. Three HBO Max Orbit installations were installed in the United States at AT&T flagships in Dallas, Chicago, and San Francisco.

“The Orbit Retail Experience is another example of what the LED display industry can accomplish with top-tier LED display technology, expert AV integrators, imaginative creative content, and purposeful design,” said Leathers. “We’re humbled to yet again receive recognition from industry thought leaders and want to extend our congratulations to the amazing partners who made this possible.”

Other recognition for The Orbit include the ICX Association’s award for Best Omnichannel Interactive Customer Experience and a Webby Award for Best Responsive Design.
